聖安東尼也有一個很具特色的嘉年華會；每年四月為期長達十天的嘉年華會 Fiesta San Antonio。最早是在西元 1891 年，為了紀念德州從墨西哥獨立的阿勒摩戰役 (Alamo) 和聖加勝多戰役 (San Jacinto) ，一個女子團體在阿勒摩教會 (Alamo) 前舉行花車遊行。這些女士把馬拉的拖板車裝飾了許多花朵，在阿勒摩教會前遊行並互灑花朵，這個每年一次的 Battle Of Flower 遊行，慢慢發展成了到現在多采多姿的 Fiesta San Antonio。

聖安東尼的嘉年華會，每年不斷地擴大也吸引了許多觀光客前來共襄盛舉，除了三個最主要的遊行：白天在 Downton 街道舉行的 Battle OF Flower 遊行，和夜晚舉行 Fiesta Night 遊行，還有一個很有特色的遊行，就是在聖安東尼最有名的 River Walk 所舉行的 King's River 遊行，是比較少見的花船遊行。聖安東尼的嘉年華會也會選出國王、皇后和其他公主、公爵等等，他們會穿著非常華麗的彷古花樣禮服遊行，這些禮服都是許多義工在活動之前以手工縫製。除了大型的遊行之外，在十天的嘉年華會中，還有一系列的 NIOSA (Nights in Old San Antonio) 夜晚活動，有許多各地美食品嘗、現場音樂表演等等，這些活動也是吸引許多居民和觀光客的重頭戲之一。另外也有許多靜態的歷史展覽、煙火秀、街頭舞會，活動多到令許多喜歡湊熱鬧的人有分身乏術之感哦！聖安東尼的墨裔移民佔人口很大部份，所以在最具墨西哥風味的 Market Square 歷史區，也有許多很具墨西哥風味的慶祝活動。

Arrive early for bleacher seats, or bring your lawn chairs for continuous family Fiesta fun at Fort Sam Houston. The Fiesta Country Fair begins at 1 p.m. and features food and drink booths, continuous live entertainment such as belly dancing, the Army Medical Command Latino Band, Kazamba Dancers, the Air Force Honor Drill Team, the U.S. Army Military Academy Falcon Demonstration, Las Erendiras, a female mariachi group, David Bradley, an up and coming Country Artist from Nashville, Tennessee, a concert by the Alamo City Community Marching Band that will include the 1812 Overture with cannons, kiddy carnival, games, military equipment display, and novelty items.

Adding pageantry and precision are the Army's elite: The U.S. Army Drill Team, the Fife & Drum Corps, and the Old Guard from Washington, D.C. Musical performances set the stage for the grand fireworks extravaganza finale. This fireworks exhibition is the highlight of the Fiesta event that traditionally attracts more than 20,000 spectators to Fort Sam Houston.

TEXAS CAVALIERS RIVER PARADE

April 21, 7-9:30 p.m., San Antonio River Walk

Each year hundreds of thousands of people from all over the country line the banks of the San Antonio River to view the most unusual parade in America … the Texas Cavaliers River Parade!

This year’s parade, entitled Rio Holiday, promises an evening of family fun with live music, celebrities and lights. More than 40 festively decorated floats sponsored by local community organizations and military installations drift down the San Antonio River. Spectators party up and down the river to the accompaniment of singers, musicians and live bands. King Antonio LXXXVI reigns over the evening’s festivities and gives a Texas-sized welcome to the enthusiastic spectators along the winding route.

In addition to producing the River Parade, the Cavaliers support the Texas Cavaliers Charitable Foundation, which disburses funds to various charitable organizations with an emphasis on helping the children of our community.

Admission: $10-$25.
